Clyde Halstead is a Partner in our Prescott office where he leads the Firm’s Water Law Practice Group. As an Arizona native, Clyde has grown up appreciating the importance of water and its necessity to our very existence. Whether he is leading groups of professionals to overhaul water management programs, litigating water disputes, or writing environmental compliance programs, Clyde’s goal is always the same: ensuring Arizonans can trust their source of water to safely supply them, their children, and generations to come.
The scarcity of water in Arizona only makes having someone knowledgeable and passionate about water issues part of your team all the more important. Municipalities, corporations, and individuals have all trusted Clyde to protect and develop their water supplies. For his efforts, Clyde has received the Award of Excellence from the Arizona Game and Fish Department, the GUEST award from the City of Prescott, and the Award of Excellence from Navajo County. Clyde has argued at the Court of Appeals, tried dozens of cases to juries, serves on committees to write laws and rules concerning water, and regularly speaks and writes about the legal structure governing water.
On the weekends, you can find Clyde hiking and camping in the woods and desert, depending on the season. He is always looking for new swimming holes and welcomes suggestions.
