McKelleb Named Managing Attorney to Lead Growth in Nevada
LAS VEGAS – September 1, 2018 – There’s a new player in the Las Vegas community association law game: McKelleb Carpenter Hazlewood (MCH), an affiliate of the regional law firm Carpenter, Hazlewood, Delgado & Bolen (CHDB). Michael McKelleb has been named Managing Attorney of MCH, which opened its doors on Sept. 1, 2018, in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.
Nevada ranks fifth in the country in states where retirees are moving, according to a 2018 Smart Asset report. Henderson, a Las Vegas suburb, is first in retiree migration locations; Las Vegas ranks fifth. “Creating a Las Vegas presence made sense since the area is a hot bed of retirement communities and planned urban developments, which operate under community association or HOA rules,” said Scott Carpenter, Managing Partner of CHDB.
Mr. McKelleb will oversee growth in Nevada by leveraging the knowledge and experience of 50 attorneys nationwide. McKelleb Carpenter Hazlewood is one of 10 regional offices operated by Carpenter, Hazlewood, Delgado & Bolen LLP, a community association-focused law firm serving the Southwest Region and Texas.
Mr. McKelleb began his career at a Phoenix-based law firm before moving to Las Vegas. He has served as general counsel for common-interest communities on issues related to contract negotiations, corporate resolutions, risk analysis, and civil litigation.
“With a track record of success, we’re pleased to have Mr. McKelleb leading our services to community associations in Southern Nevada,” said Scott Carpenter.
Mr. McKelleb has a J.D. from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law. He is also the general counsel and affiliate member of the Las Vegas High Rise and Condominium Association and member of the Community Association Institute.
The MCH office is located at 871 Coronado Center Drive, Suite 200 in Henderson, NV. For more information on McKelleb Carpenter Hazlewood, visit www.mchlawnv.com or call (866) 230-6082.
