Behind the Scenes

Getting to know us…..Josh Bolen

By Heidi Hallquist on the 28th of October 2011

An Interview by Heidi Hallquist

Shannon and I have enjoyed getting to know all of our clients so much over the past few years and we will continue to do so as new people join the association  industry every day.  We would also like you to get to know us a little better. Our next few blogs will be a series of interviews with the attorneys, paralegals, etc. at Carpenter Hazlewood.

Let’s start with Carpenter Hazlewood partner Josh Bolen

BTS: Josh, why don’t you tell us a little about yourself. How does the Bolen household run?

Fabulous is a Full Time Job

By Heidi Hallquist on the 27th of September 2011

It’s a common misconception that marketing and client relations are the easiest jobs in the world. It’s widely believed that all people like Shannon and I do is plan parties, attend happy hours & trade shows and take people to lunch. We wish!

Getting to Know You

By Shannon Carpenter on the 22nd of August 2011

One of the best parts of being on the Client Relations Team is getting to know the clients. As we have expanded our offices across Arizona , I have had the pleasure of getting to know people from lots of places across the state. I have had the chance to sit and talk with people from many walks of life, various backgrounds and jobs. It has been fascinating. What I have found the most interesting is that there are definite differences in attitude and feel in the places I travel around the state.

The Dog Days of Summer

By Shannon Carpenter on the 15th of August 2011

There is no getting around it. It is just really, really hot. I don’t feel like we have the right to complain. We had an amazing spring. The weather was cool and beautiful all the way through early June. We knew it couldn’t last. And when it hit, it hit hard. And it isn’t even a dry heat. When I stepped outside a store the other day to take a cell phone call, I heard locusts buzzing in the air, sweat started dripping and my hair began curling within seconds, like I hadn’t spent those 20 minutes with the flat iron that morning. I felt like I was back in Texas!

Matt

By Shannon Carpenter on the 7th of March 2011

Matt is the one member of the Client Relations Team who rarely gets any credit for his work. But Matt is the one who makes us all look good-literally. Matt is our graphic designer. He is quiet and reserved, the exact opposite of the rest of the girls on the team. We have to visit the clients, be at the golf tournaments, the trade shows, the seminars. We have to be outgoing! Matt has to stay chained to his  computer. And he is great at what he does.
