Southern Arizona Education

In conjunction with the grand opening of our Tucson office, we have scheduled two educational seminars for all Southern Arizona community managers and association board members. On March 9, 2010 we will teach the "Top 10 Legal Issues for 2010" and on May 11 we are offering the "Seven Habits of Highly Effective Governance." Join us for lunch and some education for one or both of these timely seminars. Arizona Legislative Session Blog: By scott carpenter

Every year I am asked repeatedly, “What’s going on with the Legislature?” This year I will again be closely monitoring the Arizona Legislature on community association issues. Feel free to call or e-mail me with any issues or questions. For the first time, however, I will be providing updates directly to a central location on my new Blog titled “Arizona Legislative Session – Planned Community and Condominium Association Issues”. There is a major bill that has already been introduced, SB1012. I’ve analyzed the bill and my thoughts and comments can be found on the Blog.

Congratulations!

Attorney Carrie Smith gave birth to a baby boy on December 30! She named the future attorney Hunter Gene. He weighed in at 6 pounds 8 ounces and was 21 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing great. Carrie is just waiting for him to sit upright so she can strap him to the back of her Harley. Hunter is letting his mom sleep about four hours in a row already—about as much as an attorney gets while preparing for trial, so Carrie should be feeling normal by now! We wish all the Smiths well while Carrie is on maternity leave.
